It’s amazing to me that on the S65, that CCB were not standard equipment. These very expensive, very low production, VERY powerful cars should have all come with CCB. I can understand the much more common S63’s not having them standard, but on the very exclusive S65, the decision should not have been left to the idiot dealers.
When I began shopping for a used S-Class a couple years ago it was baffling that the majority of 2-5 year old cars came few options. I wanted a well optioned used car. But the fact that resale and residual is based on MSRP without all the options means those options are super expensive if you only plan to own the car for 2-4 years. I came to realize that's the reason, which I totally understand.

Nickel in a bet says most cars with CCB were ordered with them by someone who wanted all the toys.
Cars that showed up at the dealer as part of the allocation arrived with iron brakes.
