Winter tire size

Does anyone know if a front 235/35/20 Rear 275/35/20 set up would work on a 2015 S63 for a winter tire set up? I’m completely dumb when it comes to tires, rims, off set, etc. any help would be greatly appreciated! Also, can anyone ID what rim (attached) this is? The model it came off of and where it lays amongst other AMG rims in terms of price point?

I believe thats a G-Wagon wheel.

235/35/20 I wouldn't run on the front, you could go for 245/40/20

275/35/20 on the rear is fine (this is s550 size).

Thanks for the reply! Why wouldn’t you run the 235/35/20 on the front? Asking bc again, I’m an idiot with wheels.

@nhurley81 , 235 would be the width of the tire (the tread portion that makes contact with the road), the 35 is the height of the tire (this varies slightly based on the first numbers), the 20 is the wheel/rim size.

While 235 width would probably physically fit the front wheel, the 35 makes the overall diameter of the wheel 1.2 inches overall smaller so the front wheel and rear wheel arent the same overall diameter (unless you get a smaller matching size for the rear also).

While it might not cause catastrophic failure, on other vehicles that I have owned, it has been reported to have damaged the transmission transfer case. The number one reason I would not use the 235/35 front tire, in NYC winter means potholes and all sorts of debris in the road, you would want more sidewall (the height of the tire) to absorb any energy resulting from the inevitable pothole strike.
