Decided to perform a little preventive maintenance on the 2016 S63 sedan today. Went very quick and easy. No codes. Since many of the Mercedes engines have an issue with oil entering the wiring harness at the cam sensors and cam adjusters' area. I decided to install the little sub harnesses at these locations just to be safe. So if and when this does happen. The sub harnesses will be taken out and not my main engine harness and computer. Plus, it probably adds more horsepower. Just kidding. Car is running great and very strong. Still have not had a chance to get to the dyno. Vehicle has 62,000 miles approximately.
The four cam position sensors sub harness came from a company called ZZ Performance. I ordered them off Ebay. The four cam adjuster sub harnesses came from a company called FCP Euro. I ordered those off their website. All are very easy to install and had no issues. Car is running great. I elected to replace all four cam position sensors with the updated Mercedes part while installing the sub harnesses.
