NEED ADVICE ON DASH CAM PLACEMENT ON 2015 S65 W222
Hi all,
I would like to install a Thinkware U3000 dash cam & battery unit on my car. My question is about the placement of the camera on the windshield. The ideal spot would be centered and high close to the rear view mirror....but this car already has factory cameras in that space....too bad MB didnt have those same cameras act as a dashcam...I believe the newer models may have that as an option now??
I was thinking of placing the U3000 camera more towards the top passenger side and as close to the rear view mirror as possible.
If anyone has suggestions or has experience with this camera/battery combo...please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks,
RIck

I'm interested in the exact same thing. And you're right, the W223 has a system where the front camera can be used a a built in dash cam, and recorded on a removable SD card. I hade a loaner for a couple months and recorded everything while I drove. I wish @BenzNinja could do some type of software thing to make our front camera reecord at all times.
I'll be following this thread so I can decide what to buy and how to place it.
