WIRE ROUTING FROM TRUNK TO WINDSHIELD ON 2015 S65 W222
Hi all,
I am installing a thinkware U3000 dash camera & battery pack on a 2015 S65 AMG. I will be wiring the battery pack in the trunk area by the lithium ion car battery and need to route wires to the front windshield where the front camera will be. Can someone suggest where/how to route the wires without having to dismantle too much of the interior covers? Most online videos show people tucking the cables into the headliner cover...just wondering if others have found an easier method.

The S65 has an Aux Battery accessible from the trunk, it powers a number of accessories. I have had the one in my 2015 S65 replaced about 4 years ago and the one in the 2017 S65 Cab was replaced a few months ago. The S65 main battery is under the hood, so far I have not had to replace one. I wonder what model those videos showed. I would be very cautious about pulling off those hand stitched leather pieces on an S65 A pillar or roof to route wires.

Oddly my s65 does not have the auxiliary battery in the trunk
It does have the small plastic case that would hold the smaller battery though
Since my cars main battery is a lithium ion it does not need the auxiliary battery??
I may have to run my wiring on the trim covers next to the roof

No idea. The two batteries do not share auxiliary loads so I do not see how the system would work with just one battery.. When my 2015 S65 Aux battery failed things like Distronic went offline even though the main battery and the charging system were fine.
