But, I'm trying to decide between MB OEM plugs: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...des-0001590500 and Bosch plugs: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08YMR8KNH...v_ov_lig_dp_it

It's clear from MB's site that they don't recommend the NGK plugs so they're off the table. But what about the Bosch plugs? Does anybody have experience with using those? Bosch Part#96347. What would you do?
why not use the NGK? I just did mine and used them from FCP Euros recommendation.

MB doesn't manufacture its own spark plugs, and in all likelihood uses both NGK and Bosch plugs re-branded as MB. Autohausaz has all three plugs listed with the MB OEM p/n (000 159 05 00) with MB plugs at $22/ea., NGK at $17/ea., and Bosch at $13/ea. It would be interesting to buy a set of each and compare their construction specifically with respect to indexing. I'm yet 25K miles away from a spark plug change, so perhaps some other inquiring mind will pursue this.

Good questions. I wanted to stick to bone stock plugs, which I got from FCP Euro. But MB specifically names NGK as the wrong plug, see post above: https://mbworld.org/forums/s63-amg-s...ml#post9203464
When you think about it, why risk something so catastrophic when you will save $100 tops, and only change plugs every 50K miles or so. The combustion chambers in modern cars has exacting specifications, not worth the danger. Do you have the M177 motor in your car, I can't tell by your signature.

Indexing, resistance, and temperature are all factors to consider. I don't know how to test for resistance and temperature.

OHM reading on any miltimeter will tell you the resistance of the plug if there is any.

The autohausaz price difference between MB and NGK for a set of 8 plugs is $40. Not even worth thinking about once every 50K, as carlosinseattle points out.

Yeah, but resistance changes with temperature so how do you measure at 200degrees or 750 degrees, 1500 degrees, etc?
Also spark plugs dissipate heat at different rates. This list of variables is over my pay grade.
