Hey everyone — I’ve got a 2020 Mercedes-AMG S63 sedan that’s been having a weird intermittent issue and I’m wondering if anyone else has seen this. A few months ago, I think July, the car randomly wouldn’t start.
It first throws a “Parking brake warning, then a “Transmission cooling” message, and after that it just refuses to start, but electronics turn on. The last time this happened, it eventually started after 20 minutes, and temps ran higher than normal on the way back.
Upon taking it to Mercedes to get it diagnosed, they couldn’t find an issue. It’s been running fine since that point (no messages, normal temps), but yesterday the exact same issue happened. Again, I had to wait 20 minutes and it eventually started, but on the drive back I noticed the temps were higher than normal.
Although this problem has only occurred twice in the last few months, I noticed it started after the transmission was serviced earlier this year. Wondering if anyone has ideas on this.
