Tragic Death of Fellow Student Porsche Cayman Driver

Last night on April 24,2007.
A fellow student from my college along with a passanger died in a fatal accident last night right off campus in a Porsche Cayman.

Full story and photo/video here...

"Babson is one of the few campuses where shiny new BMWs and Audis outnumber the old rusty Fords and Buicks.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the students' families and loved ones, it is sad to hear that a car enthusiast was lost.

Just exactly how safe are Mercedes, BMW and Porsches??

These car's are really safe (when compared to other companies) however certain things not even technology can prevent. The full story will eventually unfold

It always breaks my heart to see young lives end in such a tragic way. My prayers go out to the family and friends of those two students.

boston has the highest number of international kids from asia, arab world, & europe with filthy rich parents. vast majority of college kids there live in $4000+/mo apartments and drive $100k+ cars. amazing.

Sad.

Very young to be driving a P-car though.

How is the weather on the East Coast right now? Maybe that contributed, though they were clearly going too fast and lacked experience.

Merc, BM, Audi, P-car- the germans make the most solid cars about but at 3-figure speeds nothing is going to save you if you hit a tree.
