Old story...
Me and dad was out cruising in his -79 W123. Dad didn't pay very much attention to a SAAB in a roadcrossing so this SAAB hit us from the side (left front) at about 70 km/h. Neither I, nor dad had our safety-belts on
:o (the accident happened 150 meters from our house - lousy excuse for not wearing your safety belt - I know...)Well, well - the front of the car looked like a mess (but dad was actullay able to drive the car home!). Strange (or good) thing is that we hardly have felt the impact!
I'm quite sure we had been injured one way or another if we havn't been in a Mercedes-Benz. Kinda cool that safety has been a core in Mercedes cars for such a long time
(Thank God he driver of the SAAB was pretty ok to - a few bruises and a stiff neck was her only injuries)

For those that aren't aware most accidents happen within 5kms of your house. This is amplified by the fact that people usually do not wear seat belts when popping down to your local blockbuster/grocery.
Always wear your seatbelts even if it is only for 100m....
