Thumbs up Highway Safety Design Change

The safety of American highways would be significantly improved by making one simple change. The entrance and exit ramps should all be moved from the right lane to the left lane.

The benefit of this change is that the drivers who enter the highway and immediately move to and then continuously remain in the left lane would not have to traverse all the travel lanes. These same drivers would then not have to make a panic transition to the right, when they finally exit the highway.

In the market
The only problem with that is that intention of the DoT is for drivers to primarily remain in the right lane. The left lane is meant to be used as for passing, and not continuos travel. Just my $0.02

But you must assume that the left lane is no longer the passing/faster lane, otherwise people will have a hard time getting on the highway when cars on left lane are going too fast. And then what you end up with is the opposite of everything. Right lane becomes passing/faster lane. Left lane becomes the slower lane. And results would be similar.

sorry, but that is the dumbest suggestion i've ever heard in my life

left lane is the fast lane used for passing, why would they put the exit/entrance ramps on the left??!! LMAO -
