Regenerative Braking -- Who Knew?

From a Denver area TV news channel:

A driver was caught traveling at 103 mph where the posted speed limit was 45 mph on Saturday. (Douglas County Sheriff’s Office)

The driver seemed surprised, according to DCSO, and said the vehicle was new to him. He was still getting used to the “regenerative braking,” and said the brake pedal was stiff, according to the sheriff’s office.

“We’re still unsure how that impacts the accelerator pedal being pinned to the floor,” DCSO posted on X.

He was given a mandatory court date for his “criminal speed,” DCSO said.

I have the same problem with regenerative braking. The Sheriff Department doesn't have any electric vehicles so they obviously wouldn't understand. The expert witnesses the defendant's lawyers will bring to court will explain it all to them.

Don't you just love "justice"? Have a nice day!
