Not surprised.
Carrera GT was horribly difficult to launch fast.
I grew up with stick, still am more comfortable with one, was taught properly how to heel and toe, rallied for a living 1978-1981, owned a CGT for 3 years and 5000 miles and never really mastered that thing.
