BMC Filter Install - GT63/GT63S w/ Pics
I couldn't find ANYTHING online on how to change the filters on these cars so I decided to write this up. Pretty straight forward install for those mechanically inclined. Takes about 30 mins total (with me taking pics). The car is averaging an additional 1.3MPG in the exact same driving patterns and there is audibly more turbo/intake noise which is a nice feature. The factory filters are terrible restrictive.
Step one - remove engine cover
Anyways, on to the pics.
Tools:
Filter part number you'll need:
Pick a side to start. I did the passenger side first. Unclip the sensors and pull to side and out of your way. Undo the hose clamp to the upper turbo housing for the WG. Undo the hose clamp for the turbo inlet. Pull the front scoop housing screws out and then remove the entire airbox from the top. There are little tabs it slides on to...be sure to pull straight up.
Undo the four screws for the airbox lid once removed.

Install new filter:
