- what is the function and the benefit of the OPF ?
- can I install a downpipes with out OPF port or you recommend it with OPF port ?

These are questions the down-pipe seller should be able to answer for you. I am not trying to be flippant, but those guys are the experts. Perhaps the Renntech guys have some good information since they also sell a downpipe for the 63S.

Otto particulate filter is like another catalyst downstream..and past the actual downpipe. it helps cleanup particulates even further for EU and other countries that require them.
no the e63 and the amg gt 63 downpipes are not the same the chassis differ in certain areas.

The OPF as explained above is the particulate filter that's become mandatory in Europe and other places. It's not a catalyst, though. It traps fine particulates left over from the combustion. The sensor is there to determine when the filter is full, so the ECU can trigger a burn off cycle by increasing exhaust temperatures for a period of time and burn off all the trapped particulates. You will most likely get a CEL if you mess with it or try to remove it. The catalytic converters on the other hand don't trap particulates. They facilitate a chemical reaction to convert carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons (unburned fuel) to non-toxic CO2 and water.
