Have you guys had squealing brakes?

I am used to this from just about every BMW M-car I've owned.....do AMG brakes do this, too?

How many miles do you have? I think the stock pads are good for about 20k... I would replace them way before the sensors are tripped or you will also need rotors.

Mine started to squeal around 15k mark (13 mo).
The service department checked it out and there were better than 50% pad life left. nothing wrong with rotors either.
they said that it sometimes does that, I can replace them if I elect to, but...
very annoying...

Are you doing this: perform multiple hard braking events when your brakes squeal. Start at 50 mph and hit the brakes as hard as you can without engaging the ABS and do NOT allow the car to come to a complete stop; then drive for a couple of minutes and repeat the above from ^0 mph to 5 mph. Again a couple of minutes to cool the brakes and rinse and repeat until you’ve slowed from say 80 mph to 5 mph. Then drive without hitting the brakes long enough for the car to completely cool down. Go home and wash all brake dust from the wheel; rotor calipers after the car has cooled from the drive.

This generally markedly reduces brake squeal especially with iron brakes. Repeat whenever the squeal returns. You can also coat the backing plates of the pads with this:

Amazon Amazon

Good luck.
