Electrical Issues AMG GT 63(s) 4d Due Diligence

Hey folks, I’m in the process of buying a 2019-2021 AMG GT 63 (or 63s) 4 door.

One common issues I’ve heard of are electrical issues… can anyone shed light on what this electrical issues are? And how I can check for them before my final purchase?

Thanks in advance!

I have a 2023 AMG GT 53 and so far it's been absolutely amazing as my daily driver.

The only thing I can think of is that a couple of times when I've had my active rear spoiler up (it's always up except when it rains) I received an error message saying "Rear spoiler inactive above 300 km/h" (186 mph) and I couldn't put it down with the button.
The last time it happened I was in my condo parkade going < 30 km/h (~18 mph) so I don't know why it triggered the error. I parked the car, turned it off then on again, the error was gone and I retracted the spoiler. Not really a big issue.

That said, I regularly use many of the car's features: race mode, drift mode, massage seats + ventilation, raising/lowering the car on air suspension (works while moving)- all without any issues.
I also prefer using the MBUX nav to Android Auto/Apple CarPlay- perhaps an unpopular opinion but I find it easy-to-use and it looks great. Even the interior assistant can be useful at times.
The only thing I never use is the Air Balance system's interior fragrance dispenser- it's a bit too tacky for me and I prefer my cars to smell clean and neutral.

Overall a great car and would definitely recommend.

Very interesting to hear all this.. seems pretty minor compared to all of the benefits of the car like you listed.

Thanks for the input!

Has anyone else had any issues? Particularly when it comes to bigger electrical issues impacting drivability or audio etc?

Mine does that too. I mentioned it in the AMG subreddit and someone said there's a software update that fixes it. I asked my dealer and they couldn't help. No poser mode for me.

i have experienced multiple times issues with the wing not being able to detract, rear wheel steering disabled, blind spot not activate. I have taken it in several times with them not being able to 'reproduce' it. Also, there was a time to would not go into park. I would have to turn the car off in order for it to go into park. Took it a few times into the dealer and they had to replace the whole shift assembly. Over all I never regretted buying the car and still love it to this day.

Got a recall notice from MB for transmission wiring harness that could cause a fire, so I guess that falls under electrical issues. Suppose I should get it fixed.
