Hello

I have to disconnect the ECU from the car in order to send it for repair.

Should I disconnect the battery first? Are there any other necessary steps in order to disconnect it correctly and not destroy anything?

The car is AMG GT53 4-door W290 2019

I don't know if it's mandatory, but if you disconnect the battery, it certainly doesn't hurt... worst case scenario, when you turn it back on you'll find some warning lights on, which will go away after a few minutes of driving
