CTEK battery maintainer... Where to direct install?

CTEK battery maintainer... Where to direct install?
Just bought a CTEK battery charger/maintainer and looking to do a quick connect to the battery. This needs to be installed directly to the battery posts.

Is the battery under the hood on the passenger side (where the positive slider post is at) and under the plastic shield?

Anyone installed the ctek quick connector from that area?​​​​​​

Best and recommended connection point is at the battery jump terminals that you should find in your engine compartment.
