Swapping 86-93 hood with a 94-95 one

Is this possible at all? What I have on my mind is, k, I have a 91 blah blah, what I'd really like to do is get my hands on a hood off a 94-95 with grill and all and matching headlights. Would this work? Or is it just completely incompatible? I'm thinking the only difference is that little curve in the front? And now the grill is incorporated into the hood?

So, to change this front into this

Because I am really digging these headlights, and they have that curve to them

More pics:

As for originality, I'm down on "modernizing" the car. Thus why I'm really looking forward to that curve on teh hood , Those headlights, new hood, LED tail lights, and a AVIC-N3 and I'll be quite happy! lol

It's very possible and easy to do, It'll make your W124 make 10X more modern.

You just need the hood. Grill assembly (I have an extra 94-95 complete Grill). 94-95 Headlights. Hood Star. Heat insulation pad for hood (recommended) and other minor parts.

If you want some pricing - Let me know.

I just bought stuff for Jorge and he saved a bunch of money.

Why bother?

Are you ashamed of the age of your car? You think anyone will be more impressed that you have a '94 than a '91?

IME,,, it's like putting a 400E badge on a 300E. No offence,, I just don't get it.

It's not to make the car look newer, well it kind of is. But it's not that I'm ashamed of how it looks, I like how it looks but I REALLY REALLY like the 94-95 front end design. And with what I plan on doing to the car, a newer hood design would fit it perfectly. Also those headlights I posted, they have that curve .

And Chris, omg, THANK YOU! lol. I was really hoping I wouldn't see a "NO" haha. I'm gonna start working again on Monday (I'm 17 whadda expect?) and I plan on doing these mods very soon hopefully . Those headlights will cut me back quite a bit though .

Hi,
Am new here and this is my first post

I just want to add some few points if I may

Yes it is possible but it takes a lot more to convert the car from a 91 to a 95 version. I mean if he neads to do it right.

As you said the hood with the grill should be changed and the headlights. Add to the that the small metal piece that comes beneath the headlights (where the wiper in ur signature is) coz its curved too. And the most important thing is changing the bumper bar too. Coz the 91 bumper bar comes with a black rubber piece while the 95 comes with the same color of the car.

This is applied with the rear as well, the rear bumper, trunk hood and lights should also be changed, it wont look nice if he just changed the hood and lights and kept the bumper bar, it will look ugly, I saw few cars and they looked yucky. Also when changing the front he should change the rear as well. In my opinion either its all done right or be left as it is.

Good luck with your car JDW124 btw..I LOVED these new headlights How much do they cost??

Reagrds.
