Scuff on Windshield

I know wipers have been covered numerous times on here. After doing a quick search I saw a ton of people having some problems with chattering and skipping but I didn't see anyone mention this.

After a couple minutes of the wipers running I start getting a scuff mark in the middle of the windshield. This happens when the windshield is clean or dirty. It happened with my old blades and now it's happening with the new ones. Really not a huge deal just wanted to see if anyone else was having this problem and what they did about it.

My wipers make loud noises when I use it during light rain, but they are quiet during heavy rain. Mine leave marks too.
btw stop taking pictures of your windshield on the highway while you driving. It's dangerous.

Yea, I'm guessing they are quiet in heavy rain cuz of all the water. These marks are kind of a PITA. I was on my way to wash the car and wanted to make sure I took the pic...lol

I've had some scuff issues with my car when I first bought it; it continued even after changing the blades. My indy shop used the MB windshield wiper adjustment tool in order to correct it.

I bought the Star DVD for the W209, looked up the problem and went strait to my indy shop.

Give your shop this info:
211 589 02 21 00 - Windshield adjustment tool set.

Procedure number on how to use the tool set:
AR82.30-P-6100-01Q

My indy shop did it free as a courtesy service

So happy to have this information.
I used the wipers for the first time
on my new CLK 320 convertible
today, and got lots of streaking!

It would be nice not to have to replace
the wipers yet. $50 a pair...wow.

Visited the Walnut Creek MBZ dealership today and had a pleasant experience.
Dennis Sheehan is wonderful.

With a $50 coupon from MBUSA, I got a nice new pair of $59 blades for $10.60 out the door.

Was there for three hours waiting for mbrace download and other customers.
Since I wasn't in a hurry, the time wasn't an issue.

All good!

I agree the MB wipers are expensive but worth it. I have changed the wiper on my E320 4 times since new. It lasts a long time.

I never realized how loud the wipers were until it was pointed out on here. Then just yesterday it was pouring rain and I thought something hit my windshield but it ended up being my drivers side wiper flying off into the rain behind me

Just hit the windshield but luckily it didnt chip it. On the bright side the drivers side wiper is nice and quiet lol. I didnt realize how irritating the noise was until I looked for it
