AMG Command logo on start up

Any one done this before ? I had it done on my SLK R171 by doing the same trick that the W211 owners do press turn ignition key to position 1, press radio, button 5(1 sec) , 3( 1 sec) and 7(3 sec) to access other menu to make the AMG logo pop up

Unfortunately my G55 is in PDI,registration so it will take a while to get maybe another week.

Didn't know but still not sure I'd go through the process just to see the AMG logo.

It is not hard (that is if it works on the G-class)

2008 SL 63 AMG R230
hi got a R230 SL63 but cant seem to make it work

fyi R230 way of entering 'hidden menu' are
engineering menu (Hangup, *, 6) ,
Dealer menu (Hangup, 7, 9) ,
restart MOST fibre optic ring by holding Hangup & 2 keys, or
holding the power button for a long time.

can anyone translate the above / share how to enable " AMG start up graphic " in R230 / NTG2.5 please

I recommend you don't do this on your G-wagen for two reasons:
- the AMG211_ECE option sets the COMAND system up for operation on a W211 which is the E-Class and you may lose some functionality customized for the G-Class.
- Mercedes has confirmed that their dealers are within their rights to refuse warranty service on your COMAND system if any changes like this are made.

Is it really worth it just to have that logo show up for a few seconds when you start the car? I'll admit considering doing it myself, but honestly in the long run you'll get bored of it and probably end up regretting it.
