not sure from a memory card, but from CD you can as long as it's not a burned cd...haven't tried the memory card yet myself.

This is kind of annoying. I too have been trying to figure this out. Has anyone tried transfer from USB? I don't own any cd's... It's 2012, not 1999...

must be a cd in the same format as the original. not mp3 and I don't think wma. If you ave the original music cd and rip. copy in t same format it will work.

We have our music register nearly full. Sometimes being a fossil has it's rewards.

CDA is the music industry standard that the Register Reads

This is the standard the Register reads. I just input my music CD's from the 90's etc. into the CD player and burned them to the hard drive.

"Music CD tracks are displayed on computers in the Compact Disc Audio (CDA) file format. CDA is a shortened form of CD-DA, which stands for Compact Disc Digital Audio. When you place a music CD in your computer's disk drive, the Windows operating system reads the disc and creates a set of CDA files that can be viewed in the drive's folder. CDA files are denoted by ".cda" at the end of the file

I think you have to create audio CDs. Copy protection rights in North America prevent import of MP3 files from CD or USB. Basically, you have to make a music CDRW, copy files into the register, burn another CD, do the same etc.

Card to hard drive

If you update the Music Register from ripping to copy in the engineering menu, give it some time to take (5-10 mins). Then you can use the PCMCIA card to bring in mp3's. It worked on my '09 C63...
