Is Palladium Silver still available for the C450?

I went to the mbusa.com website to build a C450 and noticed that Palladium Silver is no longer listed as an available color. Was there some announcement?

I'm looking to jump from my E90 BMW to a C43 (as soon as I can order one) and on a whim did another build and saw the color missing. The last time I did the online build was about a month ago and Palladium Silver was available. I test drove a C450 a few weeks ago and made up my mind to pull the trigger, but I'm waiting for the badge naming change for 2017.

I was originally interested in palladium when ordering my car about 3 weeks ago.

I was like a day late at getting one of the last palladium orders in.

So yes.

That's absurd. Paladium is by far the fastest color.

Few drivers are capable, without special training, of safely handling a Paladium 205. Hence the proliferation of black and white cars in dealer inventories. It's a liability issue.

I must be unique in that I can handle and do have Palladium Silver. I should change my Avatar to something befitting my uniqueness! LOL

Perhaps the last of a dying breed. I'd wager you can trade your 300 in on a 450 considering it is now a collectors item.

It's almost not worth it. In addition to the obvious performance advantage, the color is so alluring that, wherever I go, random chicks rip off their tops and throw themselves at the car. Now my windshield and door glass are all mucked up with overlapping boob impressions.

This is something I feel MB should make more plain in the special complimentary Nappa leather bound owners manual that comes with the Palladium cars.

Palladium is a strange animal and look different under different type of lighting.

At noon, it's silver.
Sunset and raise, it's champagne.
Night, it's gray.

That about sums up the tonal enigma that is Paladium. It's like getting three new cars in one!

Depends on what type of light is being reflected. That is why I chose palladium.

Yeah, when Mercedes chooses a Palladium car to represent the line on the C Class home page, you can be confident that at least as far as MB is concerned, it best represents the model.

I personally won't miss Palladium...far too much gold in it when viewing it in direct sun.

I have zero stake in whether they keep it or not, since my car has already been painted and what not. Now if MB shows up at my house and tries to paint my Palladium a different color because the old color is discontinued, then I'm gonna be pretty pissed. Also I heard Iridium is being renamed "Liberace Silver", so there.

Who you kidding, Liberace was famously known as a "Gold" man...

I know, it makes no sense. They thought "Gay Silver" wouldn't be "politically correct".

Ramping up for 2017 production. Anyone seen a 2017 order guide with the new colors?

Checked with my rep. Selenite Gray is new for 2017. That was the color I was thinking of, not Tenorite. It's replacing Palladium. Looks like it splits the difference between Palladium and Tenorite. Less gold.

That's disappointing, I love the Selenite Grey...would've gotten it had I been patient enough to wait on the C43.

Tenorite (Steel) Grey will have to do on my C450 though! I guess the hint of blue undertone makes it a bit less boring.
