No matter how may pages this thread goes it always circles back to the OP not having enough money to maintain his S. Insurance is part of the maintenance. This is why I pay almost $500 a month for my cars and all drivers in my household have perfect driving records that go back well over 10 to 15 years, because of divers like the OP who refuse to insure their cars.

Good on you, man. Thank you.
Not talking about you, but I grew up without money. When the man's handing out bread and leaves a loaf on the table, you take it. I get it.
But when you find yourself later in life able to buy 15,000 loaves of bread, you pay the buck for your loaf.
Keep on doin better than before and I think you'll be all right. I apply the same to myself. Keep on keepin on.

After 1,778 posts I think the bigger question is why everybody is still talking to this piece of govno (sorry OP, no Cyrillic keyboard, but you know what I mean). I seriously think that if everybody just stopped, he would lose all interest in that car and sell it.

Every time I see your handle I double take cause my mind says "Kidney!". It doesnt help that your car is the color of a canned kidney bean. You know the kind, where even after you drain the liquid it still have that slime.

Whats with the gaudy looking Mercedes symbol on the grill?
Its not a bad deal for 11k though, but the miles worry me.

I finally parked both my beauties into the garage today!
I also bought both trunk hinges off Ebay. I'll need these replaced so the fellas at MAACO can line the trunk up.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/172073166742 $35 a pop shipped!

lol that quarter is in better shape than OP's car. and the rear structure isn't caved in. And the other quarter is good. And it doesn't need new tail lights or trunk hinges. Hell it might even already have a fridge in it since it was a limo car. And it already had a wood steering wheel! WOW WHAT A DEAL!!!! The seller still estimates that damage at $3k. at least that guy is realistic
what's funny is that the quarter is creased in the exact same spot. Alex, do you still think the previous owner of your car dented the quarters in on purpose?

in all seriousness though someone should buy that car for like $9k, clean the jizz off the back seats and throw a new bumper cover on it. Drive it around uninsured for a while, get some estimates on that rear quarter. Maybe sign up for Uber. recoup your costs and roll around like a big baller with 15,000 loaves of bread

So you guys are actually getting angry and irritated at the OP? This is just comedy to me....... nothing in this thread at least for the last 60 pages screams "seriousness". So guys just chill out and enjoy the thread, btw keep the racial stuff to a minimum, it takes away from the fun of the thread. ( just my two cents)

Something tells me there is more mechanically wrong with this car then seller has stated.
For one, if you have the key to the car and it starts. Why not start the car for two minutes and allow the suspension to rise for the pictures?
If the owner did not care to do this(and raise his pool of interested buyers and have a higher chance of selling at asking price), then he didn't care for the car when he owned it.
I mean, he even bashed in the quarter panel to make the bumper damage look legit.

The OP has done a great job of taking all of this ribbing in stride, better than I could. While I represent team E class (S600 err Dave's stated favorite, W212!) I'll always have a love of the W221 chassis. IMHO, the last "Mercedes" looking S class.

These are around 15k mark, clean title, less than / around 120-130k miles. Of course, checking all paperwork/drive test/ppi would occur to wash out the guff but at least one of them would be worth more than the 15k ask
I skipped the salvage titles, i skipped the 150k miles... otherwise there'd be a lot more unicorns listed...

Unicorn 1: 123k miles. I do like the AMG package though. AMG packages are driven harder then standard because racey people are drawn to it.(not you DaveW). If all four struts were replaced then it solidified my suspicion of hard driving.
Unicorn 2: Int/Ext colors are a good balance, but both of which I wouldn't choose. Don't like that it has aftermarket rims. Seems like a younger/show off drove it which tells me it was driven harder then an older gentleman would. 103k miles is around the cut off point, but right for the price.
Unicorn 3: 131k miles/Dealer asking $15,900 (price excludes tax, license, doc)
If there isn't anything to fix/work on to get it into shape, then to me it has less sentimental value. The color and mileage has to be right aswell.
I would much rather have enjoy a salvaged title car with lower mileage then sweat bullets as I watch the odometer go up after 100k miles.
A clean title does not mean the car was driven/taken car of better.
