Starting a build on my new to me 10' E63
Picked her up in AZ last month and starting to make her my own - I'm coming from a long line of Audi builds ( rs6, A8w12 etc) but always respected the Merc lineup and especially coveted the 6.2 ....
had EC do an initial tune and ran her to New Orleans for a daytrip -was very impressed with the gains given its NA - today they dropped the secondaries and did their Xpipe and BMC filters plus a custom tune.... a huge improvement based on my 50 miles so far..... the dyno sheet shows nice gains down low.
waiting for some CF goodies and have ordered some interior trim from Matt at O-carbon.... anyone who of a decent source for a used shifter surround ? I found all the other parts on ebay and will be sending the cores to Matt so folks who might want to upgrade can have minimal downtime...
Mounted up some HRE FF's in 19" and have the ti lugnuts enroute - liking the subtle look so far....the so4's are decvent - and was happy the the 285's fit perfectly.
Anyone with a 2010 /11 come up with a decent solution for replacing just the rear cans and tips ? seems the bulk of things are intended for the older or newer versions...
Cheers

Thanks David -
Ya'll provided many sets of rims for my old Audi's back my SFL days....
I'm still in the hunt for front rotors and perhaps exhaust...

The exhaust options are plentiful for your ride so I'm absolutely certain we'll find the right one for you. Brembo front kit doesn't sound too bad either. Give me a shout whenever you're ready to talk about it.

The 2010 E63 seems to be an orphan for exhaust based on my research.....I'm thinking of only replacing the rears cars/tips given that I've done secondary deletes and Xpipe...
but fitment sees to be limited for the W212 .....lots of options for the 5.5 tt but.....
on brakes - I think Girodiscs are what I will go with based on weight savings and reviews.....
either options ?

Taking a quick look into what's offered - Weistec, Renntech, Brabus, and Meisterschaft are the initial options.

it's the EC tune but they dyno'ed it and retuned after they removed the secondaries and installed their X-pipe..... I had about 1000 miles on the EC initial Tune and the increase with the extra work was very well worth it IMHO....
cheers
