Anybody in the Southern California area care to take a stroll down to HRE? I can set up a meeting so that the engineers can measure your C450 and we can end all this madness for good.

Yeah, but the "stretch" isn't strictly a subjective aesthetic consideration. It physically compromises the tire by contorting the sidewall into a position that is beyond its design limitations. Not a great idea.

H&R lowering springs.. They ride smoother than stock springs. Love it!

Thinking now seriously about having HRE make me custom wheels since its been confirmed that my replacement wheels will now take 10 weeks.
I do not plan on lowering the car at all.
Is it stupid to stay with 19" wheels and not do 20"?
I do plan on going wider. Maybe 8" front and 9.5 rear.

Your HRE wheels will be made in about 4 weeks, I'll make sure of that for you.
It is not stupid to go with 19's over 20's. I'd say that out of all my C-Class customers it's a 60/40 split in favor of the 20's but there's no denying that the 19's ride better.
Give me a holler via PM so we can chat more in depth about the options.

Received my wheels today, did a quick fitment and they fit! Ordered tires, should arrive tomorrow.
Front: 19x8.5 +34 - they fit without spacer, but better with 3mm.
Rear: 19x9.5 +50 - no spacer needed at all
Tires ordered 225/40/19 and 265/35/19. Wanted to go with 235/40, but they are out of stock till June

I ordered some Niche's in the exact same size and they did not fit. Guess each Niche wheels is made differently. Hence I am still stock! Can't wait to see yours on your ride! Love that color!

The ride is actually pretty good. I can still tell a major difference when applying the different agility settings. I really can't tell a big difference between the ride of stock and the H&R lowering springs except that it hugs the road better on sharp curves. And the look is clearly much better.
Are you going to go with the spacers? When is your install?
