OOOOOOOPS a Daisy!
Sometimes the Ferry on the river Mercy is not so mercy.
Avoid the short way if at all possible.
Next time take the truck.
The day started great!
I never even got a pic on the car.
RW Carbon V-Style spoiler for sale, perfect condition...LOL
Notice the high shine and pin straight CF layout.
See not very thick at all, no problem clearing bumps and ramps.

Thanks guys. The bumper seems to have escaped relatively unscathed. A few scratches on the underside and out of sight (already had some from the previous owner) and the push pins into the under-tray popped out so the bottom rear corners are a little loose if you pull on them. Maybe a BS bumper someday...LOL
Did this taking a ferry near here across the river. The ramp proved too high and it didn't even look that bad. My fault, I just misjudged it and I pay the price. Hard to pull out of line as I was in a long line of cars impatient to load.
At least I bought the cheaper replica lip for just this sort of eventuality.
Maybe I can rock a BS style lip and tempt fate for lip #3. At least they do not hang down so low but do stick out from the bumper.
Another day.

That blows sorry. Looks like you hit the ramp dead square. Was it the angle of the ramp being too steep, or was the ramp not yet on the ground? I got my same RW spoiler hung up coming off a flatbed and had a few hairy seconds trying to figure out how to get it off as the front wheels were suspended. The height isn't usually the problem, it's the long overhang. Anyway hope you get it sorted dude.

Dragster. Sorry Mort.
I think about a spoiler All. The. Time. All the time. Then I get out of my car and see that I have just barely cleared the little concrete thing at the front of a parking space (brain jam, can't think of the name) realize that this is why I can't have nice things. No focus and sometimes poor situational awareness. Id kill one of these a week, Im sure.
On a positive note, you have an excuse to go shopping!

Awe man sorry Mort. I know how perfect your car is put together and how well you take care of it. Hopefully you can repair back and get a new lip or bumper. Similar things have also happened to many of us. Hope it didn't ruin your weekend....

Thanks guys I really appreciate the kind words and sentiment. I am marking this up in the sh*t happens column and moving on. Next time (LOL) I will take more precautions and try to avoid this type of avoidable incident. I am feeling a little humble for such a dumb move and hope it will motivate better decision making actions in the future.
As for the shopping opportunity I think I will run the bumper naked for the summer and consider options during next winter's layup.
When my new wheels get here I may have to change my mind....lol

5h!te... sorry to hear that Mort. Look at the bright side though - you can now use that piece to come up with a brake cooling duct design that would connect to the side vents on the spoiler... and then sell a couple of them in order to recoup your costs for the replacement.
