Engine Oil temperature

I noticed today on my arrival home at lunch time the oil temperature of my C63 had reached 114.o C.

Previously the highest it had appeared to reach was 110.o C and while we are perhaps having a bit of a heat wave here in the UK I was surprised.

What temperature have any other C63 owners found their oil reaches.

215 F is my normal drive around temp when not pushing the car. You're good.

215 - 221 is about normal for me cruising around/traffic, etc. If I rip on it for a bit I'll see 235ish but that will come back down pretty quickly if I start cruising again.

Very nice car bobbyj. I don't see too many C63 AMG Edition 507 Estates on the board. Stay cool.

wow...the factory C63 oil cooler should be recalled...i think the highest i've ever gotten my oil per dash was 105C with my 2007 E63. that is with some real real aggressive driving. Fans would come on dropping temp real fast when the computers realize i'm not just giving it gas but driving hard. in those situations oil temperature is handled better than brisk driving in hot weather as brisk driving will not kick on any fans.

I'm also around 230F in Florida, although whether it's 65F or 105F outside doesn't seem to matter. When engine is fully warmed it is always around 227-231F for oil (~110C). Is that too high?
