replacement tire Pirelli Scorpion Verde A/S Plus
1500 miles driven
Factory size for my GLK350 is 235/50/19, I went with 235/55/19 for the slightly larger sidewall to hopefully increase the ride comfort.
I get slightly better gas mileage then the Yokohama YK580 that I replace these with but this can be attributed to driving style/condition. Road noise, dry traction, and overall handling is excellent, I can't comment on wet condition yet. Ride comfort great and road noise is minimal, overall I would recommend these tires if they get the advertised mileage of 65k. The factory set of tires lasted less then 30k, the Yokohama Yk580 last just over 30k, if these get even 80% of the 65k advertised mileage I will be happy.
I am the 2nd owner so I cant comment on how the factory equipped tires are but the Yokohama were good but didn't last.
Pros:
minimal noise, comparable to other class leading tires like Micheline Primacy MX4 and Bridgestone Duelers I have on other cars
Good ride comfort
Good dry traction
Good steering wheel feedback
Cons:
nothing yet since I have not driving in wet conditions or put enough mileage to comment to tread life.
Were the Yokos runflats? Are these?
If so, the better mileage could be attributed to the lgither tires. Runflats are heavier.
Mine has Continental 4x4Contacts or something. I have never been impressed by Continentals. They aren't run flats either, so I bought a Vredestein spacemaster spare, which I bring for longer, out-of-town trips. Otherwise, I figure if I have a flat tire, I'll call a cab.

. I was just giving feedback my new tires and on previous tires that were considered top of their class when I had them for comparison purpose, everyone here can do their own additional research and find what is best according to their driving preference and condition
regarding your comment about the Michelin Primacy not being run flats, good job captain obvious. He asked about the tires I just took off which were the Yokohama YK580. Stop with the reaching, if you need to get your keyboard warrior exercise out then this is not the forum to do so.
Some of your post has good information but the way you come across and your personal attacks makes people dismiss you completely, the know it all kid in class that no one pays attention too.

My only major complaint about my 2014 GLK 350 is the road noise so will it be worthwhile to replace my nearly new Contis with Michelin LTX ???
When you look at those tire comparison charts, it is very obvious that the Continentals are very inferior.
