KW Lowering and coilovers soon for C450 AMG Sport!!
Hello everybody,
I'm owner of an C450 since a few weeks. Overall it's a nice and perfect driving car. Only 1 thing disturbs me, and that's the height of the suspension. This car needs a lowering.
So, i sended mails to H&R, Eibach and KW.
H&R has a lowering, but only for the sedan.
Eibach has scheduled nothing yet
KW answered me with this mail:
Sehr geehrter Herr Vaes,
So, soon there is a 'height adjustable spring kit' available, and later this year (fall) a 'coilover suspension' is available.
That's good news!!!

Hello guys. Untill today KW had nothing ready for the C450 sedan or break.
Yesterday i received an email with a proposition to bring my car to their factory for 1 week, so they can develop a coilover suspension (KW Variant 3) on my car.
Within 2 weeks i bring my car to Germany.
I keep you posted for the result!

Ok guys, after 2 weeks of patience, my car is back. 1 Month ago KW asked me to bring my car to their factory in Fichtenberg to develop a KW Coilover set Variant 3.
The settings what they have choosen are just perfect! The best mix between sport and comfort. It's somewehere between Sport and Sport+ of the standard suspension.
The difference in height is huge. Front lowered 45mm's and the back 40mm's!!
My first impression is it's a littke too high. Maybe i will change it 10mm's higher...
See here some pictures...

I have total and utter wagon envy. The drop looks great!
We don't get any of the best wagon varients in the US. The Golf R was supposed to get a wagon version for the US but no go. Jaguar however, just announced the XF Sportbrake for the US.
I probably won't get it because 5 minutes before I pull the trigger, I'd come to my senses, realize I am an 'Murican (yes an is the proper article), and end up with the SUV. Yesterday I tried to sell my wife on the new Golf Alltrack, 2 years ago it was the Subaru Crosstrek, both times she just kinda stared through me, as if you say WTF, that's a station wagon. THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT!
I dig a wagon so hard. I had the opportunity to drive this last week.
GTC/4 Lusso. I ****ing love this car. V-12, AWD, Hatchback, FERRARI.
The honest truth is, even if they offered the c43 wagon here, I'd probably get a GLC coupe over it next time around. I hate myself...
