517.9 MAX HP / Torque reading wasn't possible with dyno used

Still can't believe I test drove that car and had no idea it was modded because I hadn't drive a C63 yet.
I just got my edition 1 this week actually. We'll have to
meet up sometime.

Same way I passed with my W204 lol Going to ChopShop tomorrow here in Carrollton to watch the game with a bunch of hot rod buddies. I'll take the C63 instead of the 72 Olds. Come out and join us!

Sounds incredible, and angry as hell haha. Wrap lip and everything looks great, you did an nice job finishing off where the last guy started
what kind of dyno is it? odd that with larger turbos it's only at 517 HP. I know all read different but just seems very low.
I have been following a few tuners and DME just did 525 HP 570 TQ with just a reflash on a brand new car . He was running 93 wth some e85.
I would think w/ full exhaust and upgraded turbos you would be in the 600-650 range?

Those numbers seem way too low. I would be on the phone with the tuner and tell them what you are getting. The EC tune the alone, according to EC, is good for more hp than that. I'd be on the phone to see if they are happy with those numbers.
I'm wondering if you are getting something like an overboost issue. With the tune, I would assume it would be taken care of. The dyno results look a little funny to me. It should have a smoother line and not choppy like that. Seems like it is fighting boost up high and causing the peaks.

Normally I would blame the dyno people for the low number. Why can't they get TQ readings? Seems like that is standard with all dynos.
Orientblue said he drove this car and didn't realize it was massively upgraded. It should be very easy to tell that is it running modified turbos.
Did you find any backstory on the car? Like who was the first owner and why they dropped 30k and then dumped it? I know it happens when rich people get bored fast. Maybe they could not get the upgraded turbos to work properly and didn't want to give any more effort. I don't know anyone or don't think anyone on the forums is running upgraded turbos yet, maybe the car doesn't like it?

The story I got from the dealer and two shops where all the $$ was dropped is that the previous owner does change cars frequently. Autoscope here in Dallas told me they struggled with the turbos and finally got them clocked right working with EC.
Possible that the guy got tired of it who knows? I've definitely thrown in the towel frustrated with a few vehicles. Especially when you are the first one trying out new products.
Best thing is to take it directly to EC and leave it in their hands. Only 3-4 hours from me so no problema. I've taken two other cars to them and completely trust those guys. I wouldn't have purchased the car if it wasn't all EC upgrades. Keep you all posted and hoping for much better results!!

For a rotating object, HP = Torque X RPM / 5252.
When you said that they didn't connect to your engine to read torque, what they really didn't do is run the dyno correctly. The need to measure RPM to accurately measure torque, and therefore HP is the derived number. What you have is an estimate. Also, your A/F is wonky.

Thanks I'll be taking it to Houston and dropping it off at EC. They can figure everything out. There's not really anyplace in Dallas that can do it.
