ABC Pentosin CLEANING build
So, it's not about not changing your burned Pentosin...
As soon as your pentosin looses his green color, you should change it !
My deal was, I am a hobby car fanatic, so as many here we are fixing, boosting and changing stuff on our cars when we have time.
Now, the biggest problem is the ABC right ?
As soon as you fixed something, something else has a problem. and you just change your pentosin for 230-300$ or even more.
Now I created this setup to easily cleanup your not old good green pentosin safely.
The filters I use are coton 1-3 micron. not tested 1 micron yet but available
I don't need to explain to you that ypu should set your compressor on 8 bars as that is the max supported by the filter (10 is ok too)
fill up the filter (glass side)
close it
turn it upside down en open pressure valve compressor side
you should fix a hose on the output of course
result = 100% clean pentosin ready to use
pentosin rebuy cost = 250-300 $
this setup cost = 70$ clean filters = 10$
you can do 1 liter per shot, i'm thinking about adding a reservoir to speed it up

This is really interesting. Any way to test just how pure the filtered pentosin is compared to new product?
In all honesty though, when it comes to fixing ABC, new pentosin is a bargain compared to everything else.

and what happend with the water content in the oil???
pentosin has a hygroscopic moisture. it has the same performance like brake fluid has.
if you want to drive a CL it should be no problem to place 200-300 bucks for oil chance......

FORGET IT. The additives in the Pentosin are already DEAD. The product does have a shelf life of only 2-3 years unused in perfect stored conditions, after that times, the additives colapse and disintegrate already - and thats not even in use!
This is a hightech hydraulic oil used mainly in the aerospace industry, its NOTHING without its additives. Also it attracts water like brake fluid does.
The stock filter (new version) is already 3 microns!!! Thats 3 thousands of a Millimeter - you cant go much finer and still the oil is dead after 2,3 years and turns dark, additives dead, probably condesnation water in it, chemical residues form other components in the system and so forth.
