2012 C63 AMG
Smaller number plate on the front?
Good evening all,

I have just got a plate for the car and it is 6 digits long.

Anyway, to cut a long story short I would like to cut a long plate short also.

However, is there anyway of fitting a smaller plate to the front of a C63 whilst still looking neat. Could I change the recess somehow?

I know it is a vague question but hopefully someone understands!

Any, pictures or ideas, much appreciated.

When i lived in the U.K. I had a sticker made up for my front plate. It was meant for "show cars" only, as there's a little loophole in the law. Looked great and never had a problem. The website I got it from didn't have any size or color options (front plate must be white, rear must be yellow, letters and numbers must be a certain size) in order to not make it too blatant a law dodge, but it was a lot better than drilling into my bumper, plus you have some control over the border color so you can make it blend better.

There's no "just pay the ticket" there. Your car is constantly photographed and checked for road tolls, photo radar, CCTV, city congestion tolls, registration infractions etc. You MUST have one.

I no longer live in the U.K. so have had no need to look. That was 10yrs ago. I'm sure there are many more online vendors now.

I had the motorized one on my G37... problem is I was low on coils and would scrap the damn thing if I wasn't careful. I've seen some that have cut the lower grill just enough for the lp to slide through. Actually looks good if done with care.
