A hint from me... I had to compile under QNX or else the required libraries weren't included.
Since getting this to work I really haven't done much poking around at all. The car battery was too low after the attempts and I lost interest pretty quick. Especially when making a change it seems like you'd need to complete a reboot / restart of the HU for the changes to be read.

yeah I had to request it twice.

I did try compiling without QNX and left out the reboot/restart but it still didn't work. Looks like it's QNX or nothing then.

Any further progress made here? One thing that would be great to unlock is tethering function for internet connectivity.
All of the US owners have to use mbrace Entertain package ($18/month) to connect to internet. The tethering capability to a mobile phone is disabled. However, that feature is available for Canada/EMEA owners.
It'll be great to unlock that option since the functionality is there for sure. It's just blocked by MB to force US owners to sign up for their slow and faulty internet service.

On my car it's done via bluetooth

It clearly starts explaining the process for setting up the mobile phone for internet connection for Canada owners and not for USA.
Secondly, I don't get any of these options described in Canada section:
I believe you in Australia have access to tethering option similar to Canada and European owners.
We in the US though are all forced to use the MB crappy mbrace Entertain service, which I have signed up for a trial period. It hasn't been working since despite multiple calls to their tech support. It's all a marketing fiasco...

I had a look today and can't see any equalizer settings.
Also can't see an "on/off" for bluetooth tethering. I already have the feature.
Of interest to me, also nothing for VIM although there are a few settings (0x0, 0x1, 0x2) that switch the TV off immediately, at 3kph, or standard

Hi all! I registered with QNX but somehow they think I wanted to eval for private use. Tho I never wrote that anywhere there. Now I replied that I wanted to eval for commercial purposes but haven't heard back from QNX. So, if someone cares to share (thru PM) their QNX library for running shells scripts, I'd be thankful.
Thanks in advance!
EDIT:
QNX Germany answered, they want a detailed description why I want to evaluate their software ... so that's a dead end for me
