20" wheels - how bad did your ride quality become?
Hi everyone,
Looking for feedback.
Thinking about going +2 on my 03 SL55.
20" wheels - how bad did your ride quality become?
Thanks -O

It all depends on how it is done.
If you buy old junk... like heavy three piece wheels with hard aged out tires, they'll weigh 85 pounds each, you'll slide all over the place, feel every bump and hate driving your car.
If you buy a modern one piece wheel and Michelin Super Sport tires you are in an entirely different league of car. You are shaving 20 to 30 pounds of rotating mass off each wheel. Buy a good flow forged wheel, NOT Forgestar they are too heavy. Or a mono-block from HRE.
I have a set of flow forged wheels with tires for sale here:

We've had some customer jump up to 21" which is less than ideal but with the 20's it still is a grand tourer in every sense of the term. Rides like a dream. Let me know if you need any help in picking out the perfect set.
