My 2011 SL63 is sick, doing whacky things...
I thought I just needed a tuneup, as it was giving the symptoms of running rough but it progressed to occasionally stalling upon take off from a light, and yesterday the battery icon came on despite replacing both last year, and these whacky things: hit the gas and it chugged along as though it had bad gas or a spark plug wire was disconnected, in other words give it the gas and it barely moved for a few moments, the interior lights did not work nor did the lighter have power---and then it would suddenly be fine, and finally the radio would turn off suddenly and come back on a few seconds later. The only thing that isn't intermittant is the rough running--that never ceases.
The car has 26000 miles has had no service other than oil changes and the 2 new batteries. Before I take it to the dealer does anyone have any thoughts about what it can possibly be? And should I even drive it to the dealer or have him come get it? Thanks for any responses.

So many systems failing at once all of them are controlled by the ECU.
Either loose connection or ECU failing.
A code reader will tell you.
Trip to someone who has one is required.
