C63 vs. M6 vs. Maserati GranTurismo
J Petros - I just purchased a 2012 C63 with 5,600 miles on it, so I am not looking to figure out what the next act will be. I have however owned a Maser GT. It was an absolutely wonderful car, beautiful, lots of smooth power, surprisingly roomy, handled well, etc. However, Italian electronics are reminiscent of the old Lucas electronics, aka the Prince of Darkness. The last year I owned, it the dealership and factory mechanics spent most of the year chasing multiple electronic issues, with little if any success. The upshot was when the warranty was over, I sold the car. I don't know how prevalent the electrical issues, but I have a client who suffered similar such problems.
ended up getting a 2012 p31 coupe. nothing else really jumped out at me that i'd be happy with long term. i really want an s63 coupe, but i can't quite afford those yet so i decided i'd just get into this little coupe for a couple years until the s63 depreciates a little more.

Maser GT electrical issues
JPETROS2008 "Do you mind sharing what types of electrical issues you had? Was it just a bunch of little things?"
There was a mixture of big and little, all during the last year of ownership. Based upon memory, as to big issues, it took three or possibly four tries over 6 - 8 months (the repaired or "wiped" system worked for a while, then it did not) to get the "main" or "central" electrical system repaired. I do know the local dealer ended up bring a factory mechanic/engineer over from Italy with the new system he swapped out. In addition during this period of time There were a couple of radio issues, both different if I recall correctly; the windows did not work properly, which may have been a motor issue, I forget; the dash lights twice went through iterations of flashing; and likley others I am forgetting. All of the foregoing were repaired, some a number of times. When I sold the Maserati, all were working just fine, but inasmuch as the warranty was rapidly running out, I was far too spooked to continue ownership. The Maserati GranTurismo was/is a beautiful, lovely, sexy automobile, but ... I think mine was a 2011 BTW.
This! I was running Ok City last month and saw what I thought was a new C63 coupe in a school parking lot. I ran over to it (there was someone inside so I didn't get too close or stick around--don't want to be a creeper...) and saw it was an S550 Coupe.
What lines! Just a beautiful machine. Now, if they'll just depreciate 50% in a couple of years for me.
