Before you purchase a puch you should first check to be sure your car is set up to receive the puch. I would think that if someone went through the expense to make the car ready for Bluetooth, the puch would be part of the process. Check in the back wall of the console to be sure you have a place to plug in the puch. If so I believe there are more than only one puch that will work.
Yes there is a place to plug in the puck. The dealership says the car was a trade on a new car and the puck wasn't with the car. To keep a happy customer they have agreed to foot half the cost of a puck.
So you have the MHI connector shown below? If so, you might check eBay to see if you can buy one for less than half the dealer's price. I don't have firsthand knowledge, but I understand there are some aftermarket Bluetooth pucks that people like better like Viseeo.
