2019 C Class Facelift
Is starting delivery from july 2018. Steering wheel will be as E-class, widescreen option confirmed, multibeam (not US per today). There will be new battery packages for the plug in hybrid and diesel will also be available as plug in, in addition to the excisting 350e. This is all I know, there have been words about carplay, but not confirmed.

well at least you can rest the palm of your hand on the center console now.
hopefully it comes with mobile tethering option. we are in 2017 and mercedes benz still does not allow us to use our own cell data. instead they give us an archaic 3g connection. in 2017...........by mercedes. the best or nothing. get tha F outta here.

My dealer has just ordered three cars, Daimler has confirmed widescreen, just not public. As I know my salesman at the dealership he doesn't throw around assumptions.

Short version, salesman are among the least informed people on the planet when it comes to the cars they sell, much less what some future feature might become available. If you can't find it in an order guide, it probably ain't happening.

I'm skeptical. The new E and the S both have a dash built specifically for the dual widescreen with one continuous space spanning the driver's half of the dash. In the E, it can also accommodate an analog gauge set in the same space. But in the 205, where the analog gauges have their own separate binnacle it would require a completely different upper dash configuration (or possibly two).

.. so the actual size of the screen will be larger but the whole unit stays the same..in other words the bezel black frame gets much smaller so more screen area

I think he's referring to the all-glass dash currently in the 222 and optional in the new E, with a digital gauge set plus widescreen COMAND. At least that's what I think he's referring to.
