As mentioned above, the headlights are just for the test. They haven't yet finalized the design. However, it will be along the lines of the new S class.

seriously though i'm expecting the new AMG grill design, small hp bump, reworked bumpers, updated headlights (and possibly taillights), and updated interior
I'm hoping they do something to fix the unnecessarily stiff suspension.
This has kept me awake at night after ordering a coupe for Mid August Delivery, if the facelift comes out straight after I wont be happy!
The article states the facelift is coming for model year 18 but I wouldn't put much faith into that. If that were true we would have had some kind of official press information directly from MB by now because '18 production begins next month (if it already hasn't begun).
I'm very positive that for model year '19 though we will see a refreshed C class lineup. Bottom line your car will be dated by next year. If it bothers you that much just cancel your order.
I'm disappointed that MB would change the car after only one year in the US market. I guess we are in the same boat as the people who bought the AMG GT, one year then a facelift. I think that the front/grill will be similar to the 2018 AMG GT-S and 2018 GLC63 S coupe pictured here:

I think the grill is a reason not to upgrade, I really dislike that new grill especially on the GT-S. I don't really care about the exterior facelift as I think the current model is gorgeous, it's the ipad, I'm not a fan.
You can't always fully trust spy photos (for obvious reasons) but that Autocar article about the base C class series seems to confirm what I was hoping the refreshed interior would be - not much tweaking beyond restyling the infotainment display with smaller bezels and a more widescreen look.
However, images in the same article show different touchpads... maybe an option group, or just one mule didn't have the new one yet?
Honestly I'm hoping the "just rip it all out and replace it with a 21:9 display" look of the E & S class stays out of the C class, at least for now. I'm sure the graphics are great but there is something about analogue gauges I really like - for the same reason I still wear an analogue watch.
