SL600 Intake mod
Ok let the flames begin, I know everyone says that you have to pull the air from in front of the radiator and I might do that yet, but someone who knows alittle about V12 TT said that the filters in front of the radiator drive up temps and better to pull from inside....yes yes yes I know, I've read the threads and some great results; but lets see what happens
Well starting here and will check the IATs driving when installed.
3" silicon with sleeves inside. RU-5111 filters

Interesting IATS were running higher than with stock, I noticed the Filter was sitting close to the radiator hose; put a heat shield between the 2 and IATs dropped about 15 degrees.
Then I got the ABC red screen of death Recently replaced with a rebuilt

Ran the car last night, IATs are running same and sometimes even lower than stock. Power seems much better, especially mid range....need to wrap the radiator hose and make a few heat shields. Very happy with the setup
