AHhhhhh that's effing hot!
So Hanz says, "vhat color do ve make ze touch surfaces?", And Franz replies, "ve vill make zem schwarz! Everysing zey vill touch vill be schwarz! Dr. Z approves and the rest is painful history.

I have the same issue, with my flappy paddles on the steering wheel, there made of aluminum, and get hot as hell just baking out in the hot sun all day. Just waiting for me to touch them when I finish work.........hot.

you upgraded then? OEM paddles are plastic painted to look like aluminium. Same for interior door handle, window switches. All plastic.

NYC 101 today, been using MERCEDES ME to start my C300 5 minutes before getting in the car. I leave the A/C set at 65 for MAX cooling.
By the way the A/C in the MB works better than any other of the 20 or so cars I've had over the years, immediately cold, powerful and the direction and velocity adjustments of the vents are spot on.
