Your intake setup is dumb lol ,think the guy wants something that he can daily drive .Problem with this fourm at times ,it's like everyone wants to play smart .
They don't need to play smart they speak form experience.
you drive a AMG not a honda sorry. you want the supercharger to whine. go spend the money and get yourself a clutch-less pulley. don't ghetto rig the sounds.

Ghetto rig?? Calm down bro, just cause eurocharged and probabaly a whole bunch of other tuners took you to the cleaners doesn't mean you have to be rude! As I stated before I bought these just to see if anything would happen and it was something I could modify to suit my taste! As it turns out the results where awsome! And btw the clutchless pulley is garbage, and a great way to get your car to go into limp mode
No wonder all the big names like eurocharged have completely gotten away from them
If Shardul were to go away, he would be missed. If this thread and some of the posters went away, well not so much. . Flame suit not necessary, don't care.

Did a test on this a few months ago. With the hood open, the exposed open air filter made similar power as the stock intake with all plumbing. With the hood closed, the open air filter lost 25-35 wheel horsepower throughout the power band.
The stock intake is designed well. Just put some high flow filters in there and call it a day unless you want to sacrifice huge power for supercharger noise.

Wonder if you could fashion the stock pre filter hoses into a more trumpet like shape to amplify the sound, but then of course there's not much room up front.
This blower is not really loud type roots are fairly quiet..Only to get loud volume is to run a filter on the tb direct or get a real supercharger aka whipple from weistec and make your car areal beast
I hope to get a video of the sound mine makes this weekend after the track. When i went into the supercharger we did some work here and there and a little welding and it really came alive...sound wise. Strangely it was louder with a 84 pulley than a 77 just a little more "pitch" to the 77.
I love that sound and we get some very serious Shelby Mustangs that are modified at the dealer that REALLY scream under boost. Great sound !!!
Remove the weatherstripping around the hood and increase it for free...as well as the shield under the hood vents. I tracked mine and loved the sound, it also helped vent hot air out from the engine bay. It was nuts how much air came out with those parts removed
I know this is a really old thread, but did removing this seal cause and unwanted water to enter the engine bay? I’m looking to make the blower louder on my sl55, never gets driven in the rain, just curious about when spraying at the car wash. Thanks!
