C43 Side skirt rocker panels

Hello Everyone. I am thinking of adding just a touch more black trim to my Selenite Grey C43 Sedan. Has anyone seen instructions how to remove the side skirt rocker panels so I can get them painted (or possibly wrapped)?

I suspect it is similar to other models - but I am struggling to find the instructions.

i had mine wrapped. So far i'm happy with it. It hasn't peeled off, and it was wrapped without having to be removed. The only concern i have with having it painted is, there were a couple of times i've hit it with my shoe coming out of the car. If it was painted, i'm almost certain it might have needed touching up. The vinyl wrap seems resilient enough It didn't even get scuffed. Which ever you choose to go with i'm sure you'll be happy with the outcome. That little detail on the side skirt makes a lot of difference.

I don't like how that contrast makes the car look, personally (make the car look thinner and higher off the ground IMO). Would definitely wrap them while on the car if doing it.

Thanks for the feedback! I will definitely look at wrapping then. I was thinking of wrapping the chrome strip on the trunk as well.

Just a heads up. I wrapped mine over the weekend and ended up peeling it off.

You have to take this piece off to wrap it correctly. Basically the top edge doesn't have enough surface area to grab on, So you are left trimming it to size and from a high angle you will see a slim slit of chrome peaking.

Not a big deal but I know it would have bothered me seeing it.

You could also plastidip it, which I also did but then drug my masking through it while it was a bit wet making me peel everything up. Also, badge needs to be done too, IMO.

These pics should show the location of any clips or screws which hold them on. Im sure once unscrewed you can pry them off with trim removal tools.

It is possible to wrap it without removing the side skirt piece. I wrap them all the time without removing them and have had no issues covering everything or having things hold up.

If you don't want to deal with removing the side sill panels or vinyl wrap which will only last a couple years, you could always spring for a set of AMG side sill panels...

I had mine wrapped gloss black on the same color but coupe. I like it a lot, it adds that extra black that you want.

Hey there; I'm picking up a white c43 amg and that's the first thing I want to do; Black Side Skirts. Where can I get one (NOT THE DEALERSHIP) as they are charging $700!

Thanks,

I haven't had it done yet. Too busy enjoying vacation time - but hope to do it in a couple weeks. I will post eventually.
