Installed some CF seat backs I bought from a member on here. They are good - could use some more work on the fitment , I just used 3M double sided tape. But anyways, they get the job done and look great! Waxed the car and took a few more pictures as well.
That's a good deal did you buy them new or second hand ? Best price new ive seen is $650..Revo-ripoff wants $1500.
Bought them used. The $650 price is good, but are they ebay fake carbon fiber pieces? I wonder if the Revo ones are real...
I buy composite parts for satellites as my job, so I have a lot of contacts in composite layup and production. I think I want to pay one of my shops to match a batch of these and I'll offer a group buy on the forums

I'll let you in on alittle secret all of this carbon fiber stuff is made in China by 2-3 companies and then revo or mb or whoever puts their name on it and markes it up 3-5x. My seat backs are 100% carbon fiber sent directly from the manufacturer to my door. The DTS spoilers that sell from 300-600 can be ordered for 150 or less... diffusers 200.
You and I are in similar fields my company puts satellites in orbit.

They look great.....but lots of money to serve no actual purpose...so I could not justify the cost....but....has anyone successfully wrapped the seat backs in a decent gloss carbon wrap and got a good result. I realise that they are not the best shape for wrapping. Hyrodipping also came to mind...but I'm not sure if the seat backs are easily removable or not.

I think painting them to match the exterior color would look way better. Specially on a white, silver, gray car.
