Given the issues with rotors warping on the e550c, I decided to try out some 2 piece rotors and it didn't work out quite as planned (https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-c...ce-rotors.html).

I ended up contacting the folks over at RacingBrake about their c63 rotors and in that process explained what was going on. Their engineering department got in contact with me and they explained that they would be able to manufacture a hat/rotor combo that would guarantee fitment with the floating calipers on our cars! Huge ups to the folks over at RB for taking the time to look into this, hard to come by that level of customer service these days.

Using centric posi-quiet ceramic pads again. Also installed new "ornamental" plates and retaining/squeek springs while I was at it. Had a hard-ish time finding the part numbers so:

Springs - A000937607
Ornamental plates - A2074270047

Will provide updates as I use them more. Big shout out and thanks again to RB for the great customer service!

Wonderful. How do you like the new braking feel? Have you noticed the lower unsprung weight and perhaps even a shorter braking distance?

Thanks, they feel great. Just as smooth as stock rotors (when they're not warped of course...) I've not done anything objective...so no proof other than (inverse?) butt dyno, but it feels like they've got a little more initial bite and that I have to apply a little less pressure to achieve similar braking power to stock. I've surprised myself when giving the brakes a little tap to turn off cruise control. I'd assume due to the lower rotating mass? Or maybe its just my mind trying justifying the cost...haha
