Once you give your money to the dealership and they give you a receipt with the keys you can do what ever you like to your car.
as long as you like what you have done and you have not broken any laws its ALL good.
You can always change it back anytime you like or do as i do and change your car very few years.

Just as a reminder, here is how Mercedes intend the silver trims to look an a W213 E43,
And here is the "Ghetto" aftermarket variant.
Sure the OE parts are more expensive but if you ask me there is no competition.
(wait for rant from grange3)

I wonder how much it would cost to purchase and replace with OEM side gills? I would imagine that the front bumper would need to be removed. The knock-offs cost less than $30 and takes about 10 minutes to install.

Sure the glue on bits are cheap and easy to fit but they also looks like that as well.
I have retrofitted the parts.

Hey viper you are all about....
DO AS I SAY NOT AS I DO.....
You put on non genuine rims on your car in the first 2 weeks you had it.
Your rims look like something a 17 year old would buy with the first $500 he every made.
There must be a very good reason 21inch rims are not standard on any M/Benz.
Could be that it makes it just look a Ford station wagon.

I did call them Ghetto Upgrades afterall. I wouldn't do those things on my S550 or Range Rover or 600, however. The way I see it, I spend $379 a month to lease it. It's kinda of like my Honda Accord of sorts. ;-)

My mother had a 1955 Lincoln Capri 2 door hardtop complete with dual 4 barrel carbs, headers. and side pipes. It was pink w/white top with all the gingerbread - dice, steering wheel cover, wide whitewall run flat Goodyears, curb feelers, ...
They hadn't invented **** carpet yet.

Half a century? You're remembering things from the 50's so you had to be 8 to 10 years old at that time. Or possibly your parents told you about those times. In my case, I was there and I'm more than half a century. I saw the dice, lake pipes, Lincoln Capri(still a beautiful car especially the 56).
