What should I do with a cheap E55?
Check it out:
I'll post more pictures this week when I go pick it up. Mechanically it's solid, but needs some paint/bodywork/panels (needs two fenders, two doors, and a front bumper). The frame checked out straight, so it's (luckily) all cosmetic.
So my question, what should I do with it? Fix it on the cheap and add power or part it? (anyone got an inexpensive painter in California?) I think I'm going to be into this thing ~$3k when the dust settles and it's in my name, so I don't wanna drop a whole bunch of $$ on paint.

My girlfriend suggested to swap the bent parts for straight parts of mixed colors (like a VW Harlequin), add power (lots of power)/suspension parts, and turn it into a track car... Which I'm not totally opposed to!
What are your thoughts?
Make sure the car is mechanically sound in the mean time
When you have found the right hole in the wall shop that miraculously paints for a low price, then paint it.
No sense in throwing away a perfectly good AMG.
Mechanical first, then cosmetic, then cosmetic mods.
Don't get too caught up in power mods, that's an endless money hole.
