Winter setup
I know spring is just here but by the time I get my hands on a E63S winter will be here.
On one of my other car I have a spare winter set that I use works great.
1. Anyone know the offset on the front and rear of the E63S
2. Looking for cheap set of wheels, don't judge me. Winter setup just has to do the job. Used to race cars and built a race car and a show car.
Any recommendations on cheap set.
Probably will buy set from tirerack probably..

See pg 52 of ordering guide (wagon). Same wheels for sedan
cheap winter wheels may be harder to find due to high offsets. Need to do a bit of research to ensure those aftermarket wheels will clear those big front brakes

Found a good alternative - all season tires.
Thinking to have the dealer put these on when I pick it up.
Continental
EXTREMECONTACT DWS 06
265/30 and 295/40
For $1200 I can run these all year around on OEM wheels, good for snow, wet and dry
Save the stock tires for just summer or occasional track but I think these will stay on all year around they have a UTQG-560 rating should last a while.

If you get CCBs, your options for wheels will be very limited. Most of the 19" wheels (<2500 a wheel) will not clear the rotors, also if you are true winter you get less tire options.
I test drove one with 20" in Germany a couple of weeks ago and the ride is was a lot harsher than 19"...

Minus One sized studded winter tires?
I’m considering purchase of an E63S Wagon but would need a 2nd set of rims with studded winter tires. I’m not confident I understand all the details of rim and tire sizing so I would appreciate comments if what I describe here would work:
The OEM tires are 265/35R20 (front) and 295/30R20 (rear). The European Mercedes web site will let you configure an E63 with 19 inch rims. So, hopefully a 19 inch rim fits the US E63S too… Could I “minus one size” the winter tires as 245/45R19 (front) and 275/40R19 (rear)? If so, Nokian makes the Hakkapeliitta 8 studded tire in those sizes and I would be all set.
Additional question: the OEM rims have +25 offset (front) and +55 offset (rear). Should the offset be the same for the smaller and narrower rim?

If you are going for the same offset, then you would need 19x 9.5 front; 19 x 10 rear
i have been researching for aftermarket 19" wheels as well and putting my priority of having narrower tires for front and back
iam currently considering:
front: 19x 9.5 et 15 - 25. 245/45/19
rear: 19x 9.5. Et 40 - 45. 255/40/19
tires: non studded
conti ts 850p
nokian r2
bridgestone lm32
wheels: non forged
rohana rf2
forgestar cf10
oz hyper GT hlt
there are few others I'm still researching to ensure they all can clear the brembo big front calliper

HRE - FF04
I sure like this .. $625 for 19" ... Made in Japan for HRE. Many other optional colors at $125 per wheel.
Thinking of changing my 1st choice cheapy wheel which is 19" Neuspeed RSE102 ($300 per )

I have sent my enquiry to HRE to comment.
As for Neuspeed wheel, I have gotten the direct response from their wheel expert that it is no issue .. as long as the front is 19 x 9. The inner barrel does not have a step 'riser' / sloping 'ridge' that some wheels may have (ex. this OZ wheel). Now, of course, is it a 100% guarantee ? The Neuspeed wheel expert says they never have any problem with customers with RS cars.
As for the MB factory winter set offering in Canada, I visited 2 corporate stores this afternoon to see if they have anything 'concrete' in their system. Both said nothing and even the Parts Mgr said he is clueless if the E63 will have one by December of this year. As of right now, both Parts dept is offering their "E43" winter set package as the equivalent to be used on the E63, I told them you cannot use those wheels as they are the wrong offset.

the trouble is winter pretty well will arrive in Canada in about 1-1.5 months time and also the wheels are needed to be ordered and probably take another 3 weeks to be delivered, in the best case scenario. Therefore, timing is critical as I would never drive the factory summer in Canada when the temp approaches 0 degree Cel. or below. These summer will have virtually no traction at all and is a safety hazard too.

My second choice, Zito will make it. Good price and 10 days fabric time. For now, I think I will go with ZF01 in black and 285/35/R19 rear and 265/40/R19 front Michelin PA4.
3200$ aprox. for this kit.

Talking today to paul (PKAutoDesign), very fast and good service. Ask him about Ferrada FR3 19’’ and he told me that it will don’t clear the brake.

What are the width and offset for the zfO1 ?

I don't know precisely because my order is not finalised. Width will be 9 or 9.5" and rear 10" probably. But there is the answer by Paul:
"I can have the wheels cut to the perfect specs for you for the following. Build time is 10 working days on wheels."
There is the possible specs for the ZF01:19 x 8.5" Low Concave
19 x 9" Low Concave
19 x 9.5" Low Concave
19 x 10" Mid Concave
19 x 10.5" Mid Concave
19 x 11" Low, Mid Concave
Offset: ET20-50
Bolt Pattern: 5x100-130mm
Center Bore: 54.1-84.1mm

Yeap, the E63's are stuck at port due to some EPA regulations. HRE has a local customer who will be taking the car to them for measuring as soon as it's released.
Once HRE can confirm that the FlowForms clear the brakes the wheels will be ready to ship and takes approximately 3-5 business days depending on where you're located in NA.
