1999 W208 stalled while driving
Good days fellow W208s!
Of late my car stalled while driving around 80-90 km/h. Car was OK during initial drive. After a brief stop, drive again and that's when the car stalled after a short drive. Left the car to rest for about 30 mins and car can be driven again but after a few XX km stalled again.
I had changed the followings: sparkplug & coils + MAF, sensors (crankshaft, camshaft, magnetic solenoid), O2 sensor (front ex-manifold), fuel pump, petrol tank level sensor (with Pump) plus cleaning the injector system - but the car still stalled after a short.
Am at a loss here...any help/advise would be appreciated...a mechanic did point out that it could be the gas actuator (there are 2 -one after the air filter unit, the other after the MAF end hose).
Thank you in advance!

Out Of Control!!
You wasted a whole SL of euros---find someone who can test the fuel pressure circuit and or ideally he would have a copy of DAS!!---Wada he find

Hi Plutoe - thanks for your concern - non of the mechanucs were able to detect exact cause(s) of the problems...additional replacement did was the alternator voltage regulator and cleaning the purge regulator...was happy test driving it for some distance and looks fine until I did a long idle stop and drive...and the car died out again...

Stalling when hot has been a notorious problem with crank position sensor....should throw a code but not always. Car stalls when hot...cools a little and then restarts.
It could also be a bad fuel pump. Check the fuel pressure at the rails...fluctuation is usually a bad pump.

Thanks insame1.
Done that including changing with new K40 Overload Voltage Protection Relay unit - -lasted some distance drive and car stalled again. The OVP was hot when the car stalled - probably shutting off the fuel pump gor safety reason - but why - an still trying to figure it out...any help will do please. Thanks!

When it stalls does it start right back up?
Need a good scan tool to see what is dropping out and shutting it off. Will star system catch an intermittent problem like this? Maybe a driver circuit for either the ignition or fuel injection in the ecu.

W208 stalled while driving
I have done almost all.
Diagnostic displayed this message:
Fault Code P03411A "Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Range / Performance".
Could it be a wiring problem?
Any help/tip will do.
Thanks a lot!
